Green Jobfish is known in English as slender snapper, large snapper, gray jobfish; the scientific name is Aprion virescens.


These marine ray-finned fish grow abundantly in the seas/ oceans, and tropical waters especially among seaward reefs and large lagoon water channels. The adult fish are solitary, mostly feed on smaller fish and zooplankton, and we can find a large proportion across the Pacific and the Indian Ocean and in certain parts of the Great Barrier Reef.
