Take 20 peeled shallots, 6 garlic cloves peeled and a piece of ginger, grind it into a coarse paste and set aside.
Heat oil in a frying pan, add the ground masala, along with a handful of curry leaves and 2 green chilies and cook until golden brown. Now add in 2 finely chopped tomatoes and cook until mushy.
Add 2tbsp Kashmiri chili powder, 1tbsp coriander powder, and 1 tsp turmeric powder and mix well.
Add 500gms cleans and chopped squid and cook for 5 mins on high heat.
Add in 2tsp garam masala, 1.5 tsp fennel seed powder, and 1tsp pepper powder and saute on high heat for another 5 minutes.
Add lemon juice and salt and mix well. Serve hot! Enjoy.
