Baby Octopuses belong to the family of cuttlefish, and squids. We supply Frozen Baby Octopus in whole, with the ink and guts removed. These can be roasted or grilled or added to curries as per your taste.

Texture & Taste

The Baby Octopus texture is hard and tender on the whole- if cooked right. If you do saltwater and lemon brine, it will tenderize the meat. It is chewy, and slimy when raw.
The taste of the Baby Octopus is usually rubbery when cooked. But slow cooking is advised to enjoy the benefits of a mix of sweet and saltwater flavors of the sea. It has a mix of squids and lobsters when you bite into them.

The Rock Lobster texture is meaty but soft. It is juicy and can be easily extracted from the shell once cooked.
The taste of the Rock Lobster is sweet and a medley of freshwater and saltwater flavors. It is a lovely mix of prawns and crab meat. It flakes off easily and can be scooped out of the shell.

The Crab texture is flaky, soft, juicy, and may have a brown to white color in the flesh, depending on the catchment location and crab variety. They are white when raw, and turn stringy and rubbery when cooked.
The taste of the Crab has a mild, sweet flavour of the freshwater, has a slight metallic saltiness in the flesh, and does not have a fishy odour at all.

Squids texture is meaty, looks pearl white, and sticky to the touch. The fresh ones have translucent, glowy flesh and look similar to cuttlefish.
The taste of the squid has a mild, sweet flavour. Young ones will have a mild taste that resembles lobster of prawns. The big ones that are cooked well are rubbery, opaque have a unique flavour depending on the water.
